Practical questions

Plan your experience.

The essential information before requesting a place aboard.

What is the best time of year for water sports in St. Martin?

Water activities are possible year-round. For many visitors, December through May offers generally drier conditions. The official Atlantic hurricane season runs from June through November, so for traditional sailing the right day matters more than the month: every departure still depends on wind, sea state and the association’s final safety confirmation.

Do I need to bring a group of six?

No. You can book and pay for a single place. The association combines paid bookings to form the crew. You receive a full refund if we cancel.

Is this a standard boat tour?

No. It is a cultural and practical experience: you discover the history and the boat, then sail as part of the crew.

How long does the activity last?

Allow approximately two hours for the historical introduction, boat knowledge, local rules and sailing.

How many people can take part?

A session welcomes six to seven participants: a minimum of six to confirm it and a maximum of seven aboard.

What about a hotel or larger group?

If you have at least 7 people and want a date outside the schedule, send a free group request. We will respond about feasibility before asking for any payment.

When is the outing confirmed?

You pay when booking. We confirm departure 7 days before, subject to the minimum number of participants. If we cancel, including for weather or safety, you receive a full refund. Weather and safety conditions remain under review until departure.
